RHS'69
This is a rolling blog. It will be updated daily as they check out Italy and Spain. New stuff will be posted as it comes in.
Check back often.
Let's get the obvious out of the way...
Vincent, Wendy and another couple are going on a cruise in the middle of this pandemic?
We'll let him explain.
Where's day 11?
We're jumping ahead to day 12 as number 11 was at sea and not much happened.
Outside of Rome, Florence is the place to go for masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture. Florence is one of the most culturally rich cities in Western Europe.
Before we hit the countryside, breakfast on the ship. For those that need to know such things, my choices are ham, sausage, eggs, tomatoes, 3 croissants, watermelon, Casaba melon and cantaloupe.
These are manhole covers from Japan as captured by Wendy Yim.
More pictures and the story on how they became to be is here.
Another great icon of Italy - the Leaning Tower of Pisa. A lot of people try to take pictures of someone acting like they are holding it up.
We didn't because we didn't think of it first. Italian officials say it won't fall over - at least anytime in the near future.
Just about everyone has something they do can be a little quirky. Quirky is something that's a bit different, unharmful to all, a bit sweet and makes you smile as you shake your head.
For example, Vincent's wife Wendy, always takes pictures of manhole covers in her travels, especially those in Japan.
Why you ask? Because they can be a work of art and something you probably will not see anywhere else. That's quirky, and fun.
Vincent likes pictures too and his can be quirky also. He likes...doors...to people homes.
Why you ask? We really don't know. These are from yesterday before everyone left Spain.
Time to leave Spain and back to Italy.
