Who's that knocking

on our door?

Tuesday, January 1, 2019

Websites that mention Hawaii always seem to get a lot of internet visitors. Probably something to do with beaches, warm weather and Hula girls.

RHS'69 gets a lot of internet visitors too but this may be a bit harder to explain.

Maybe it's just a fun place to check out. Webmaster Courtney Harrington takes a look at some of the people (and some of the places) that dropped by to see what's happening.

Once a year, the RHS'69 Reunion Committee throws a slam-bang Christmas Party...a month late.

Everyone is too busy in December so the party happens sometime in

January.

Dayle Hoopai and Bev Lum grabbed their reporter pencils and fill us in on the doings.

The year of the pig

Tomadachi IV - the fourth tour to Japan is two weeks in length. We have three reporters covering the trip: Lani Harrington, Vincent Yim (RHS'69) and Bobby Imoto (Kalani'69).

This is a "rolling blog" so each day's events are posted as they come in. Check back often for

Apologies to the Four Seasons...

It was a night, oo-oo what a night.

It was it really was such a night.

The moon was bright, oh how so bright.

Young and old, loud and soft, they came forward to raise their voices aloft.

Monday, May 27, 2019

Once a year thousands of people descend on Waikiki for the annual Charity Walk. It's a bit more complcated than walking. You're eating to one end of Waikiki and back.

Dayle Ho`opai who makes sure she never misses this event takes it from here.

It's Time we got Together

Saturday, August 2, 2019

If you have heard the term, "herding cats", then you have a good idea of what RHS'69 Reunion chair Vincent Yim is doing these days.

It's the home stretch for the 50th Reunion and he's the circus rigmaster. Sometimes, pleading, sometimes hugging, sometimes scolding - he's getting everything ready for you.

RHS'69's Golden 50th

No success is dependent on one person. Collaboration is always the key since any one process affects the outcome of the total.

Planning for the 50th Reunion began a year ago.  Four members of the Reunion Committee look back on how great the 50th was.

Years in the planning, the RHS'69 Cruise was a big success. Art and Josie Akana were the wagon masters that put this adventure together and held our hands all the way.

We set a blog record for the number of pictures and videos. Take a look.

Of Flies and Fishes

Monday, December 2, 2019

There's an old story about a mosquito landing at an Alaskan airport.

The ground crew gave it 200 gallons of fuel before they figured out it wasn't a 747.

They grow big in the 49th state.

But this story is about fish and not jet sized-bugs although little bugs is another story.

John Takara takes you on his latest Salmon run.

2019 Wrap Up

Sunday, December 15, 2019

This has been a busy year for RHS'69. Maybe one of the busiest ever. Wait to see what next year brings.

RHS'69 Reunion Committee chair Vincent Yim phoned in a look back at some of the events in 2019 and dropped some big hints on committee plans for 2020.

Better clear your calendars...
