Fall Canadian Cruise - Day 11-15

New York City

Day 11-15 - New York, 5th day and home

The last morning in New York City as everyone gets ready for the 10 AM flight back to Hawaii. It's been a long 14-days and they're looking forward to warm temperatures and trade winds. Lots of memories to take back with us.

When traveling to a far, far away land, I find myself asking why.

Why they do it that way or why they eat that kind of food or why they dress that way or why they live that way?

Do not compare their ways to ours and criticize their ways.  You will not enjoy your visit. Don't waste your money, stay home.

There is no place like home and to travel is to experience other cultures.

My uncle said it best. For over 40 years he did business with China, before trade was opened to America. He told me "when I cross into China I dress like them, I speak like them, I eat their food and think like them before I try to make a deal with them."

You will enjoy your visit and understand Why.

Yes, when I come home I always say "We are blessed to live in America."

Go for the experience

JFK - this place is big.

Somewhere out there is our plane getting spiffed up and gassed for our 10 AM flight back home.

Before we leave New York City, a few odds and ends.

The emphasis is on the odd.

How about a 6-day West Coast cruise with your RHS'69 classmates and friends?

Check it out here.

Autumn is arriving and on the mainland that means the leaves are starting to change color.

What better time for a cruise to check it out.

RHS'69 Reunion chair Vincent Yim and his wife Wendy are off cruising eastern Canada and U.S. to watch the leaves turn for Autumn.

Some final thoughts on sailing aboard the Norwegian Bliss.
